Bitcoin collapses after technical problems

Most currencies are experiencing a decline every now and then. But a dive of the size, the virtual currency Bitcoin saw yesterday, are rarely seen.

Last Friday the Japanese bitcoin exchange MtCox announced that a technical problem prevents Exchange from paying money for the sale of Bitcoins. And yesterday it was still uncertain when it intends to resume work . The exchange it reported that payments are not recommend until the problem is resolved.

The message was had the Bitcoin value plummeting to below 550 dollars. Friday the currency otherwise closed with a value of $ 703.57. And although the price rose over the course of the day, it never came up on Friday's level.

The Bitcoin market has recently also been strongly marked by both a Russian and a Chinese rejection of the internet currency, which in both countries is considered an illegal payment. Bitcoins are not issued by a state, but lives exclusively on the Internet.
